Windows DNS

I'm just pondering about the potential deployment of Windows based DNS servers (ie non-AD application).

Any thoughts / comments on what DNS software to use? Windows own, BIND, Meta DNS Pro?

Authoritative DNS for a number of domains (few hundred), then recursive lookups.

Obviously MS's own offering has no cost. Some of the features in Simple DNS sound useful.
