I have recently upgraded my computer.

However parts of it are not as easy as it should be and it is driving me nuts and I am serious xxxed off.

I have my old HDD install and the OS installedon a new HDD. Surely swapping settings over should be easy? Surely swapping over Outlook settings and email should be easy?

NOOOOO!

Why is it so damn hard? It says I have to go back to my old PC to create a file for Easy Transfer. How can I do that? Mail .PST is suddenly asking for a password that it has never asked for before. I had this problem swapping over from Vista to 7 only it swapped mine over no problem or password. WHy is it asking now??

If any has any idea please let me know, I dont want to loose all my mothers emails for a second time becuase Windowss works in the hardest most longwinded way ever.

I always do upgrades manually

I export my firefox settings and saved games, then re-apply them to the newly formatted install

Gmail is plenty for me, no need for outlook at home

I'd never trust any wizard that promises to 'migrate all your settings'. But that's just me
