Everytime I see Amarok running on my housemates linux install, I'm even more impressed at what it does. Things like giving details of each band, suggesting bands that are similar to the one you're listening to, prioritising songs and being able to delete the MP3 file through the playlist etc.

Is there a good mp3 player for windows that has these kinds of functions?

Fetching song lyrics, showing you your favourite albums/tracks by particular artists... God I love amaroK

Unfortunately I've never found anything that replicates all that functionality, so well, in Windows.

Too bad :(

Can you get foobar to do similar stuff with the right plugins? I notice you can delete the actual mp3 file from foobar, which is a start!

How I miss amaroK when I'm not using a Linux machine!

I've tried several different MP3 players under Windows, and none even come close to amaroK.

Have you tried MediaMonkey or, dare I say it, iTunes?? Media Monkey has great functionality once you get used to it's unusual interface - I swear by it now I've been using it for a few weeks. Allows dragging and dropping of files to MP3 players, CD ripping support. No podcast support yet though which is it's only letdown as far as I can see...

I'll give Media Monkey a whirl, I tried it a while ago and really didn't like the interface but I'm an impatient so and so. I hate iTunes with a passion, I'd resort to using Media Player over iTunes.
