Windows Experience Index - X2 4200

Not sure if this is better in here or in the software forum...

Upgraded from a 3500+ to a 4200+ X2, and thought I'd see how that altered the Vista experience index thingy, as the CPU was currently my weekest score (4.2). It goes through all the ratings fine, but none of the scores change, and it still says "new harware detected, your windows experience index needs to be refreshed"

Any ideas? What score are other people getting with this CPU?

4.2 is low for a X2 4200+. I have a X2 3800+ at stock and get a 4.9.

Are both cores enabled on the cpu (do you see 2 charts in the performance section of task manager)

Yep, although I did have a problem with only one of them working after a cold reboot, but a BIOS update seems to have sorted that.

I get the feeling its more likely to be a software problem, as it is still saying it needs updating

Did you refresh the experience index thing?

Yeh, it goes through all the tests fine and says they are completed, but nothing updates
