Hi,

I have 8gb (4 x 2gb) DDR2 800mhz Kingston Hyper X memory in a Gigabyte P35 DS3L. The Windows Experience Index shows it up as 5.9 on my pc, where as a mate also has DDR2 800mhz but his shows up as 7.0?

I was wondering if anyone knew why?

I know the index scores are far from the be all & end all of performance measuring on the pc, but it seems to show that my system might not be set up correctly?

@ Surveyor

Thanks, looking at CPU-Z now & it says the DRAM Frequency is 400.0 mhz?! It doesnt seem to have any adverse effects on any games..BFBC2 runs all maxed out no problem, tho the only indication I have that it seems stretched is the CPU desktop widget that has it @ 95% + during gaming..

Could you elaborate? 4 slots for 4 sticks of ram....im guessing the order of those sticks is important?

FYI I had 4gb originally, then ordered another 4gb (stupidly thinking it would boost the performance) and saw no improvement whatsoever.. Time to ££ in on the extra 4 gb i bought for no reason me thinks..
