Hi all

My PC started to reboot everytime it got to the loading windows stage. I did a repair of WinXP (i assume it just installed over the top) and pretty much everything works except that Windows Explorer crashes when i open it (anf things like Network connections).

If you open another app that lets you browse for files (e.g. Winamp) then that works fine.

Is there any way i can fix this?

Many thanks

Have you

Run sfc /scannow (xp disk is needed)
Popped the disk in and hit install and select the upgrade option ( the best way to repair windows)
Done a role back using recovery
Start up Spybot in advance mode, deactivating start up programs one at a time, rebooting after each time ruling out a program causing the fault.

Only ideas, and none may help.
