I'm beginning to wish i never bother building a new PC!

Installed Vista Ultimate on this new HTPC rig and i'm constantly gettng "Windows explorer has stopped working" errors and "Internet explorer has stopped working"...now i googled this problem and it seems a common problem but there is loads of different ways folk have tried to fix it, anyone else get this problem too?

Several things it could be really.

Drivers (update / reinstall as needed)

Over heating / voltage issues

HArdware faults (try doing memory test for example)

And the other one could be a messed up windows install... which version of windows and what are the PC specs?

Vista Ultimate 64 bit version installed

Dont think its a problem with the system but more to do with Vista itself...its driving me up the wall

This probably won't help much bit i've had quite a few "windows explorer.exe has stopped working..." errors (also on vista64), usually when i'm doing something like opening my games explorer and music folder simultaneously (apparently quite stressful)

its strange as i have the same OS on my laptop and it never happens with that, well when i say the same the laptop has vista ultimate 64 bit as does the HTPC but that has SP1 built in......this would turn you back to xp :D
