Windows Explorer problem

For some reason periodically when I try and access My Computer I get a Data Execution Prevention error which means I have to Debug and I usually send an error report too. Does anybody know why this would be happening?

It may be a Hardware enforced (optetron) DEP error. Read through this.

Log on as a different user, does it still happen?

If not its a dodgy profile.

Full scan done with Avira anti virus, nothing shows up.

just disable dep altogether. edit your boot.ini and where it says

/noexecute=optin

change it to

/noexecute=alwaysoff

once done, reboot.

I am a little concerned about turning DEP off all together, doesn't it stop dodgy programs from operating?
