I have a Dell laptop that is my Gaming Rig (I use a Mac as my main machine). The dell sits under my monitor with the lid closed - idle - doesn't standby or hibernate or whatever. Until a couple of months ago it was fine.
Now, whenever I come to use the computer I end up having to reboot it because nothing will work. I usually have an error message upon opening it telling me something couldnt start and giving one of those error codes like 0x2900288 things. The app that fails varies. Then when I try and launch anything it gives the same errors. I have to reboot to use it then it seems to be ok, till next time.
I am running Memtest86 as we speak. Its 75% of the way through and its picked no errors up. Its not a virus because i formatted the system because of the same thing and it still does it (about 2 weeks ago i formatted). Ive not really changed anything on the system that could cause it so i'm at a loss.
Any ideas?
