Windows file explorer - how to undo layout change?

This is a bit odd, so bear with me. My download folder is set so the most recent files at the top and that's pretty much the way I've always had it. Today I had some files selected and accidentally clicked the name column, now the couple of folders in my download folder show at the top, before the most recent files.

How do you undo this? I've tried resetting the folder by changing what sort of files are held in it under the folder's properties and the Customise tab, but this does nothing for me.

Unless I'm missing something wouldn't you just click the 'date modified' column header.
I should have said, the date modified column was already selected and working as intended - except the folders were on top, whereas before the folders were at the bottom.

I think I've worked it out now. I clicked the name column again, this time while holding Alt and things seem to be back to normal again.

Good luck finding out how to do this online, as I didn't see anything helpful. Oh well, maybe this post will help somebody else in the future.
