windows firewall problems??

hi guys,

im having a few problems with my computer at the moment, some times when i try and log into msm or simply use the internet ( viewing webpages ) i get 404 errors or msm wont connect. this is happerning on 2 computers, and i havnt changed any settings on my firewall/router, or in the windows firewalls. but if i disable the windows firewall it all works fine, is anyone else having these problems or can anyone recomend a solution other that disabling the windows firewall.

If MSM or your internet browser is not in the "Exceptions" tab on the Windows Firewall it will not be allowed internet access.

If it is in there, but the box is unchecked, it will also not be allowed to have internet access.

ie and msm are both on the exceptions tab.
