Hi all,

I'm assisting a local registered charity in setting up some new PCs, as well as the likes of Office365 for off-site email and document storage via OneDrive.

I have found via the Microsoft site the Office365 for Charity pages, with their current offerings of Office365, so that's all good there and I'm happy with how that all works.

Obviously, I am looking to get them a legitimate copy of Windows, whilst spending as little as possible.

The Microsoft site directs you towards tt-exchange, but from my searching, they don't seem to provide what I can see as a straight-forward "purchase Windows 8 here" - there appears to be the "Get Genuine" or upgrade to Enterprise options.

For the usage they will be needing (mostly just using Office or Office365), it's debatable whether even Windows 8 Pro will be needed, let alone Enterprise.

As they're new PCs, can I get away with the "Upgrade" licences?

There are a huge pile of old, P4-era PCs that are in various states of disrepair (the best of the PCs there is a P4 with HyperThreading...) with Windows XP licences, could I get away with using these as proof of "upgrading"? The tt-exchange site doesn't particularly help with telling me that...

Has anyone dealt with this before, and can offer some advice?

Cheers!
