Good afternoon everyone.

I'm considering upgrading my motherboard and CPU to one of the b550 and new ryzens when they are launched

Currently using a pre built system from a competitor. With Ryzen 3600 and cheapy b450 motherboard.

I'm aware that when I change the motherboard windows is going to ask me to reactivate. Obviously the keys provided is a OEM key so it's probably going to say no.

Would the best option be to order a copy of window s home on usb flash drive in case this happens? And if I do, would that key be transferrable to any other new components if I decide to upgrade again?

Can you get retail keys that I can use if I upgrade later down the line? Everything I can see is just a OEM key and are still £60-70?

Cool. So they actually work. Ok when I'm ready to upgrade I'll do it. I just wondered if there was a equivalent to the old retails versions you could buy
