Windows formatting options

Hi, i have a Dell Latitude E7440. I usually format the laptop with a fresh Windows 7 install every year from the reserved partition on the HDD. However doing it this way means I also get Dell apps like power management, display tools, backups, etc.

Im considering of doing a totally clean install from the Windows 7 CD, thereby avoiding the Dell apps and drivers. Is this advisable? Or is it always better to use the reserved partition?

Clean install is fine. Just get the drivers you need first from the Dell website

Make sure you have the drivers on a USB ready, just in case.

I did a clean install on a friend's laptop the other day and for some strange reason Windows didn't install a network card driver so we had great fun trying to resolve that as it couldn't even connect to the internet!
