Windows just updated the WGA tool last night and its causing hell with my system.

Anyone know how to get round the new version of WGA tool?

WTF

it shouldnt matter if ive got a registered email address or not for ppl to trust me. The fact that youve gone looking for one says your quite untrustworthy yourself "Mate."

Perhaps Im not allowed to post this, but Im guessing over the next few days there will be more and more people asking the same question.

I think you've got the wrong end of the stick completely, I'm trying to help you out.

Nevermind.

How does a user know your system is legit or not, thats all he was asking you.

Quronos whether your os is 100% legit or not is not my concern i know that a some people including my self will always prefer the corporate type version without the activation tripe namely because we reinstall a lot.. but moving on...

i assume the other poster asked for an email to contact you because the question that you are asking is how to bypass a protection scheme and is illegal as well as being a banable offense here as warez talk is frowned upon.

there are methods that come up on how to do what you are asking and then ms plugs the hole, then a new method appears, i know that there definately is a current working method as i just tested it.

fraid you will just have to do a bit of research seeing as you offended the guy that im sure was gonna mail you a solution

Its pretty simple to know whether you are using original software. For instance, did I buy it? Did it come with my pc? Do I have a COA?

Given that such a version is illegal (unless you are actually installing under a volume licensing agreement, which you imply you're not), it's not up to you to "prefer" it, either you use Windows legally, you don't use it at all, or you don't post about it here!

holier than thou springs to mind but lest not start a flaming session.
yes it is illegal in the strictest sense but i can see any harm in any one taking the retail copy and modifying it so they dont have to activate it constantly, isnt there an upper limit on how many time you can activate?
id imagine using nlite (as i do) to remove a lot of guff is also illegal, doing this as well as using a custom .sif file and batchfiles and reg patches to make a cd/dvd that installs windows to personal preferance with the bulk of apps that you typically use.
so you can format and be up and running with a complete reinstall practically identical to your previous setup that was formatted less than 30 mins ago is very usefull to me and im sure a lot of others and with out removing the activaction process isnt as quick or as automated as i like it.

/ rant over
