Hi so with new build it posts press f11 boot from dvd loads some windows information then just hangs on windows starting screen. It’s Msi 570 tomahawk and 5800x with latest bios. Any thoughts please?

Have you tried downloading a windows 10 ISO from microsoft, Put it on a USB flash drive & installing that on your PC instead? Download link below.

Yes I was going to do that but the problem I’m having is I only have a w7 key (bought legit) and when I tried to get the iso file it said it was only for the French or Portuguese versions - bizarre! Had in mind to install w7 and then upgrade to w10

An issue i had with some TR and AMD boards when installing windows was with IOMMU being set to enabled or auto. Set to disable and worked fine and installed windows with no issues. Admittedly this was on some older boards/BIOSes but the issue sounds similar.

Thanks to @ZXSpectrum (OI!) and @Grimley for the advice. And it's worked - the solution was the usb flash drive install and my windows 7 codes seemed (...) to work. Must have been some issue with the DVD player or something - anyway it's going now thank the lord!
