Windows gone wrong

I just built myself my first PC and then i started it up with the windows xp home edition cd. It loaded windows xp then came to a screen where it asked weather i wanted to continue or repair something or exit. I pressed enter to continue but nothing happened and i eventually just restarted the pc. Now when the pc starts up it comes to the flashing cursor part of startup and doesnt do anything after. Does anyone know what i can do to resolve this? Thanks in advanced for the help!

Did you get the question when installing Windows or was Windows already fully installed?

when installing windows. I think i resolved the problem i just set my boot priority to have cd as 1st priority so when i restarted my pc it started to install windows again
