Hi all, there's a problem on my dad's computer which i pretty urgently need to find a solution to.

Basically it won't boot into windows, it gets as far as the screen asking you which mode you'd like to boot in but none of them, not even safe mode work and it just restarts itself, the loop continues. When using the recovery console and checkdisk an error message is displayed saying there are one or more unrecoverable errors on the disk and the BIOS is not recognizing the HDDs. However the RAID controller sees both drives: There are 2*200gb seagate drives in a mirrored RAID. When using the windows CD to repair windows it goes pass the liscence screen but then in the table where you select which drive you'd like to install on it gives shows 2 drives not installed, so its seeing two drives but doesn't think they're installed. This makes me think its a problem with the RAID? Also after my dad went into the RAID menu and did a restore RAID thingy it booted in safe mode, then after doing a system restore the same non-booting loop resumed??

Any idead asto what the problem is / how to fix it??

Can i use the mirrord RAID to scheive anything??

Any help will be so greatly appreciated!

Thanks guys!

The Windows repair from the CD will need RAID drivers to be able to see and work with the hard drives if you are infact using the drives on a RAID controller. Pressing F6 when prompted will allow you to provide these drivers needed on a floppy disk.

So is it feasable that this is a problem with the RAID drivers and i should re-install these then maybe do a windows repair as well?? Will re-installing the RAID drivers lose all the data on the HDDs??
