Could someone who has or is using WHS give me the benefit of their experience, will windows home server run in a RAID configuration.
I'm thinking of using a few bits I've got lying around to build a home server. Then I started to think if I'm going to chuck lots of my music and back up other machines to it I'd be gutted if while using only one drive that died and I lost all my data, it happened to me before and I lost all my music  I've got all the disc's it's just the a** ache of putting it all back on.

thanks

In WHS you can specify which folders you want to have saved to different spindles (separate hard drives). So even though it’s not RAID if one HDD goes then all your data is still on the other basically RAID 1, but you choose what you want to be made redundant.

Is a very good feature of WHS.

So basically get 2 or more HDD's and your good to go.

Thanks Laser402 for you quick reply, I'll get a couple of 500Gig HDDs that should give me plenty of storage.
