I'm thinking of dipping my hands into home networking and outfitting my old PC with WHS. I was hoping someone who was involved in the beta program could answer a few questions...
1. If the WHS box is wired to the router via mbit or gbit cabling, will i get reasonable transfer rates over a wirelessG connection? I'm particularly interested in streaming music and non HD media to no more than 1-2 machines at a time.
2. The minimum reqs are pretty low, I have an old Athlon box with 2000+ 512 RAM lying around and was hoping it would be enough, maybe if i upped the memory to 1gig?
3. Would i be better off building a new low power PC using a mobile processor?
