Hi,

Just installed WHS, and just wondering if I can remove / hide the default shares like public and videos as I'm about to create a list of my own.

Looked around on google and it seems it is not possible :(

Yeah I tried to remove them with no joy either. Just added my own and mapped the drive on the computers that use them.

Not tried it but you could probably try through Computer Management -> Shared Folders -> Shares and "stop sharing". Not sure what that will do in the Connector though.

Also, you probably want to keep the Software share. This is where the WHS client installer is kept, and where you place add-ins for installation through the connector amongst other things.

You could just deny access to them all. I tried removal through the console and it doesnt let you. Just set access level to none on all of them.
