Windows Install Crashing on New PC

I built a new pc yesterday and installed vista x64 fine. Got everything up and running but during a game it crashed. I restarted and could not boot into windows any more.
I formatted and tried installing windows again but this time it keeps crashing on the 'completing installation' stage. I must have tried about 5 times and it keeps crashing on the same part.

Specs are
Intel E7200 @ 2.5ghz
Sapphire 4870 512MB
Gigabyte P45 EP43-DS3L
4GB PC6400 Super Talent
Corsair HX 520W
320GB Sata II Samsung

I've already tried removing a stick of ram and just using 2GB.
Any ideas on what to do?

Try with only 1 stick of ram.

First port of call is good old memtest to check ram is ok. Check each stick seperately and also together just to be sure.

Might be something simple like the ram's voltage are not at the correct setting.

Agreed, it's probably memory voltage. Whack it up a couple of notches.

Thanks for the advice.

Got it sorted in the end. All it needed was a bios update to properly support the wolfdale cpu.

Strange how it installed fine the first time.
