Windows install hangs

Any pointers for when installing windows, i get to the blue screen install part and it has hung twice now, once right at the end with 8mins to go and another just after entering the product key.

Any ideas? never done this to me before.

Found out what the problem was. I was installing on a new system that had a asus p35k-e with an wd sata II drive. What seemed to be happening was when i configured the drive in the bios i had left it as IDE and not AHCI. For some reason as soon as i changd it to AHCI and started the install it worked. Guess it must be something to do with the drive technology and the motherboard.....
