Can somebody advise me please. I'm in the process of putting together my PC build. First one I've ever attempted. How do I go about installing the operating system onto my SSD? I purchased Windows 10 Retail version which comes on a USB Flash Drive.

Am I right in thinking I have to go into the BIOS and select USB as Boot drive?
Thanks..

Ok,..thanks. What happens after that? Do I simply save and exit BIOS, switch off PC and then restart again in order for the Flash drive to start unloading windows?

Lastly, when Windows has installed, should I go back into BIOS and then change it again so that from now on, the SSD will be the Boot drive or is that not necessary?
Thanks again.

Just save & exit, the machine will probably reboot and then start installing windows

Almost every bios I've come across uses a "boot order", you can change this if you want to

I'd put money on it being set to boot from USB first & then HDD by default. As long as you haven't got a bootable USB key plugged in when you boot the machine you'll be OK
