Hi all,

I'm just wondering whether anyone has had a similar issue and knows how to resolve it.

I'm bootcamped into Windows 8 (8.1 Pro 64-bit) and when I'm playing games I keep getting the "Windows is low on memory" error, I have hardly anything running (Chrome, Steam, Raidcall) and it still pops up.

I've tried a few fixes from Googling around but the error message keeps popping up and I'm not too sure what to do.

Computer specs are:

Quad core i7 Haswell at 2.00GHz (turbo to 3.00GHz)
8gb Ram
256gb flash storage
Unfortunately no dedicated GPU.

Many thanks.

I'm wondering how big your bootcamp partition is and if the Apple section might be of more help.

I split it 50/50. Good shout, I wasn't sure where to post so thought this would have been a good bet.

Edit: I might try installing Windows on an external drive and running it from there.

Usually when that error pops up I find the problem lies with the amount of RAM dedicated to the IGP. Unfortunately there's no way to dedicate more RAM to the IGP on Macs, only way I know to make the Mac's system dedicate more to it is adding more RAM itself.

That's a bit of a pain. Thanks for the reply though :)
