Windows keeps shutting down 8^(

O.K. Guys, this is driving me insane

MY windows XP keeps shutting down with a BSOD, "{Fatal system error} The windows login process has terminated"......
And on startup "Windows has recovered for a serious fault..... Winlogin.exe"

I have tried all my usual tactics, Scandisk, update virus chek and complete scan, update firewall and complete scan. All temps are fine. I have even checked for MS Blaster !!

I have not had any new hardware of drivers etc. for months now.

Any help appreciated.

does it give any more info?

run memtest

download this http://www.memtest.org/download/1.65/memtest86+-1.65.iso.zip extract the .iso file and burn it nero's "burn image" feature

or use imgburn to do it in "Write" mode

leave disc in and reeboot

I downloaded and ran Memtest for three passes, No errors. Don't know what else to try now. Might have to do a fresh install of XP.
