I purchased my first pre-built PC from overclockers about 4 years ago. and I'm in the process of making some upgrades. However, I cant seem to find my Windows 10 Product key code. I was told the easiest way to get it, is to ask from the retailer I purchased it from. What's the best way to get into contact with OCuk about this, if possible?

Is it now listed in ‘about this PC?’

I’ve used Magic jelly bean key finder in the past but I have no idea if that’s still a thing. Or if it even works.

The section near the top of the forum will be the best bet.

I seem to recall you can use command prompt to get the code. That might be worth searching about.

The windows 10 reinstaller is available direct from microsoft on their site, you just need a USB stick. You will need your code when reactivating, but i think that you can reactivate using the same email address that's tied to your account without needing the code. But i know my friend had an issue with this when he changed his motherboard, but i've always just reactivated using my same code each time.

Hope that helps.

Can't overclockers find it through their order history?

All upgrades I have done to machines with Windows 10 register themselves assuming its basically not a new system.

I had one old machine I resurrected last week which had been upgraded from Windows 7. When it said the machine was unlicensed after scratching my head I found a microsoft page that said to dig out the old key (so I used the win7 sticker) and enter it so I did and it worked a charm.

You rarely need to bother about licenses, as said above if you really need to view your key there are some tools out there which can display it for you.

+1 to this. I had used it before to retrieve a key from my old laptop where the sticker had been worn off.
