Hi,

The laptop i got atm,Had Windows Vista basic installed..it was slow so i downgraded to XP.

However im upgrading the laptop with a much better CPU,and adding an SSD drive,So id like to use Vista again as the Product key is underneath.

However i cannot find the Vista DVD that came with the laptop,Can i just download the Windows Vista 32 bit ISO then use the key on the bottom of the laptop?

Personally if you are going to the cost and trouble to upgrade hardware I'd agree with tricky above and opt for a Windows 7 or even 8 license, or stay with XP for now.

I'm not bashing Vista, it's just not as good in my opinion as any of those 3 - yes I don't mind Windows 8 any it is getting a big upgrade later in the year.

Well the upgrades are just cheap upgrades to give the laptop a boost.

Ive bought a CORE 2 DUO T5750 for £5.88 (current CPU:Celeron 575)
The SSD i hope to just pick up a smaller old SSD (20GB Ish) for under £20,So..
As i already have the Vista License (and vista is newer than XP) might as well use it.
