System Specification:
Problem:
I've been having lagg and hanging issues within Windows, my version of Windows is (Windows Professional x64). I'd get hangs randomly, it would hang for 30 seconds, sometimes a minute, sometimes even longer. I thought it was an operating system Issue, so I re-installed but the same issue, I've got 1 HDD partitioned into 2, this is so that I can have my system files and such on one HDD and all my other stuff on the other (Programs/games/videos etc).
I thought it's time to try different things, so I went ahead and installed Linux, I installed it last night (Elementary x86) and I have had no hangs/lagg what so ever, it has been running flawlessly.
Could it be that because my HDD is partitioned into 2 HDD's it's causing conflicts and what not? I could try to put my Files on an EXTHDD and then delete all partitions and re-install windows completely and install Windows on one HDD without any partitions?
Do you think this could make a difference? I wouldn't want to switch to Linux entirely as it does not support the programs I use properly (Office/Flash/Dreamweaver etc).
What are your thoughts on the matter?
Much Appreciated.
Daniel.
