Hello all.

Does anyone know of any Windows laptop that will unlock automatically when you are wearing an authorised smart watch the way that MacOS does?

Many thanks.

I am not sure you are going to need a specific laptop as it is not a locked ecosystem as Mac is.

Windows 10 includes the ability to lock/unlock via Bluetooth proximity (so you can use a phone etc). I presume that the ability to use the watch would just need the right software and a laptop with the right hardware (bluetooth/NFC etc).

As with most things Windows vs Mac I expect it is possible via Windows and will be configurable to the nth degree. It just won't work as well out of the box as a Mac does. That said of all the things I have found moving to MacOS, Apple Watch unlock is not the most reliable bits of it. It works about 90% of the time I find.

First pair your smartphone to your Windows 10 PC. Next, go to Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options. Tick the checkbox under the heading 'Dynamic Lock' and you're done. Now, all you need to lock or unlock your PC is just walk out of its Bluetooth range

info for phones, but should apply to smartwatches when paired also. i think the S3 has something called flow app to enable this also?
