Ok so this is another stupid question by me..How on earth can i clear the lists in windows? Like when i go to put something into google, a dropdown list will appear with my previous entries...How do i clear that?

some depend on program etc, most are stored in the registry.

what i do is (taking the google box for e.g.) type in random 8+ letters (e.g. fremfghs), press enter to search. then open registry editor (Start --> Run --> regedit --> OK) and do a search for the 8+ letters. you will then see where they are stored. delete as appropriate!

the missus been finding your pr0n searches? :p

On IE 7, goto Tools and then Delete browsing history where there are different options for clearing out all those dodgy searches you've done.

Firefox is Tools -> Clear private data

I wouldn't recommend going into the registry unless you know what you're doing though.

Edit: You want the clear forms options to clear the google search box
