hi

im getting a new pc with windows 7 , ive heard that to get windows live mail , messenger ... you have to install them via windows essentials.

would these be installed already on the pc if its a new acer , or do i have to do it myself , i dont really want windows messenger so if its already installed is there a way to uninstall it as i dont think it can be done in add/remove programs?

thanks

Quite possibly, it will already be installed.

You'll need to look for the Windows Live Essentials entry in Program & Features in the Control Panel.

There you're just presented with a list of tick boxes of what is installed and not, keep ticked what you want, then untick what you don't require.

will this actually uninstall the programs off the system?

i did just read that if i go into add/remove programs theres something called windows essentials ,and if you click uninstall on that it will guide you threw to what programs you want removed by ticking boxes ?

thanks
