So I was very stupid the other night and ran RegSeeker. I let it delete all the keys it returned. I did however keep a backup and restored it and restarted the PC and still this issue occurs.
Next day I ran WLM and it brings up a grey dialog box as if WLM were being installed or uninstalled. Then the progress bar disappears and I get a message telling me that:

So what I have done and how can I fix it? Is it possible to fix it without reinstalling Windows? I'm also confused about this network resource. I don't have any network resources although I may have installed WLM from my external hard drive which is currently on. There is a .msi file in the WLM installer but it isn't the same name and when I did rename it in an effort to trick the installer it didn't like it.
And just to clarify, I don't want to remove WLMN. I want to know what I've done wrong and how I can fix it so that WLM runs.
Fixed this.

The weird thing is that if I cancel the whole process WLM actually runs so I haven't completely borked it....yet.Windows Live Messenger said:The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable. Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'Install_WLMessenger.msi' in the box below.
