Windows Live Messenger issues

Been having problems with Windows Live Messenger for the last few weeks. It randomly signs me out for no apparent reason. It gives no error message - it just signs me out. Then I need to sign back in again. This is becoming increasingly common and increasingly irritating.

Any ideas?

It isn't an internet connectivity issue generally as I remain connected to other services without problems.

Using avg AntiVirus? Look in the settings and untick msn protection,I found it was that that kept signing me out

Switch to Skype and merge your Live account? Microsoft are switching MSN off soon, so you may as well get used to Skype now, it'll hopefully fix your problem as well :)

Seems like .DLL files are deleted or a piece of coding within the software has been deleted. Have you checked the settings to see if it is signing you in and Auto automatically? Also MSN/Hotmail updated their T&Cs not so long ago resulting in a less time to be signed in so you get signed out a lot sooner.

Try re-installing the Windows Live Package if that is possible; that is always my first step when encountering a problem such as this.

My Messenger always complains about Flash not being up to date, I think it's just MS giving up on it and things starting to break.
