Windows Live Messenger problems

Hi Guys,

Not sure if any can help me on this. I tried signing into Live Messenger whilst not on the the network, obviously it wouldn't sign in. Now I am connected to the internet I'm not getting in either.

The error suggests there is a problem with my internet connection?! Yet there isn't/ I tried my girlfriends account and same problem. Does it cache things like this as there is no reason whatsoever why it shouldn't let me in. The firewall settings are fine too.

Have you checked the status of Internet Explorer? Make sure there is no tick next to 'Work Offline' when you click on 'File' (or press ALT + F).

I use firefox but checked IE just in case and no they are fine.

Still unable to get into this. Uninstalled and installed again etc etc.

I got on ok on my laptop. Doing my head in now!

Turn off windows/any other software firewalls just in case you've accidentally blocked it.

What does it say when you do the connection test thing in the options?

It ticks everything...that's why there shouldn't be any issues.

It's ridiculous!
