I've asked this before so I'll apologise in advance, but I'm yet to find a solution that doesn't rely on sacrificing chickens to the voodoo god of server logic!
I'm running XP pro and want to logon automatically without having to select an account/ password etc... It used to work fine, but since the .Net framework has installed an ASP.net user I cannot seem to get in without interacting with my machine. I switched off the welcome screen and now get the old style usernam/password screen (even though I don't have a password!).
Additionally, I want to add a password to my account so it will be recognised by my Windows Home Server box without me having to log in to it every time I reboot. Is there a way to set up a password protected user account in XP that will automatically boot into windows without user intervention (ie remember the password and autocomplete it at startup?)
Cheers.
