Hi,
I have had windows XP pro running fine on my computer for the last year or so.
Today, all of a sudden it asked me to activate windows before i logged on, which i can't do because my belkin card is set to 'radio off' so there is no internet access.
I think i may have put the xp activation crack on it a good year ago. For some reason mcafee detected a trojan in the windows folder yesterday and i'm wondering whether that was just the activation crack, and mcafee has deleted it?
Is there any way i can get around this? I really need to use the computer, and the files that are on there.
Can i re-copy the file into the system folder via DOS/command prompt or something?
Cheers
AMD
