Windows Mail Client . Not able to send out any emails on Gmail through it

As above:
On the Mail Client .I'm not able to send out any emails on Gmail through it.

It's frustrating because my previous Windows 10 PC worked fine.

Anyone else having any problems?

My emails are working fine through the browser/phone and third third party apps.

I've reinstalled the mail client and reset it . No luck as I say just frustrating because my previous PC was fine with it.

I tried my hotmail account in the windows mail app and they're not sending either. But working on other apps. It's just stuck in the outbox.

Very frustrating.

I think you now need to setup an app password inside your google account and use that to login to (less secure) Mail clients, so, the process is even more difficult,
I changed to that about 4 months ago ... there's a thread

Thanks mate. Yeah I have an app password set already to make it more secure. Yeah best to isn't it.

1:I sorted out my problem but wasn't easy to sort out. Outlook email account needed to be verified so that's why it wasnt sending.
2:My Gmail emails I was sending were going straight into my spam folder, only started doing that yesterday! I only discovered they were in there by chance using a different email client!
Then I had to work out how to unfilter/filter which didn't simply work the recommended way... Took me ages to work out both...
