Hey all, just had a call from my GF's uncle with a query about Windows Mail in Vista, he has his mail with BT Internet, and has XP / Outlook Express on his main desktop, his problem lies in Windows Mail pulling mail in and it dissappearing from the server, as most mail clients seem to do, and he would like a way to keep it on the server so he can then pick up the mails at a later date on his desktop for archiving and to have all the mails in one place.

Is there any way he can achieve this?

Thanks! :)

There is an option to keep mail on the server.

Tools menu > Accounts > Click on his mail account on the left-hand side > Click "Properties" button on the right > Advanced tab > Tick the "Leave a copy of message on server" option.

There's also an option just below that which allow you to set how long the mail is left on the server for (in days) which he could set if needed.

HTH,

Andy
