Hi All, haven't used the Media Center function of my OS much before, But It worked fine, let me play music, let me watch movies stored on my pc, etc.

I recently installed a TV card and have been using it to watch tv, which works fine most of the time.

However problems....

1) Every so often when watching the tv, my PC will randomly reboot.... Im not sure if this is software related however its an MSI USB TV Card Something 580.

2) I Just went to play some music and it has none of my music listed, instead im greeted with this message, and I cannot add any music to the list:

Music%20Error.JPG

3) I went to test and see if I could play any of my movies, however I got this error returned, yet I can still see my movies in the list:

For the movies part, do you have the necessary codecs?

Not sure if this helps, but I couldn't play TV properly on MCE until I looked it up on the Compro website which indicated I needed to install 3rd party filters like Cyberlink or WinDVD to decode the picture properly.

By the way mines an internal Compro T-300 DVB-T/Hybrid TV card.

I Have all the cyberlink stuff installed as it came with the pc, And yes I have all the codecs, they use to play fine in MCE and they still play fine in Media Player, Winamp Etc... So its a strange one, I would consider a system restore from the suplied restore disk however as it is I have nothing to backup my data onto so need to find a way to fix it :(

I had this problem, all i done was downloaded power dvd then installed then it worked :)

Make sure you have a the latest version ;)

And also make sure that your TV Card drivers are up to date :)
