Apparently it's just a few bug fixes, and fixed conflicts with XP. I don't think there's any new features

Few days in, not a lot to say tbh. a lot of Xp probs fixed ( well for me)

Still, features that atm are US only ( it is a US only beta hehehe). but easy to over come, with a tweak or 2.

Much less buggy. Seems slightly more responsive to me as well.

Oh and the Now Playing highlight is blue instead of green

Seems to add at least one (I counted two) processes. One can be disabled with services.msc, it's called 'wmpnetwk.exe' in the Process list, and Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service in the Services list. Not sure what the other one was, but it's gone for now.

Not really very impressed with this version. Beta 1 of WMP11 was far less intrusive. This new Beta has added services, created a library of all my music (and there's no option to disable this), and overall, seems like it's going the same way as iTunes.

I use Winamp for music but I find WMP handles videos better. Think I'll be finding another program to do that latter task.
