Hi. I've been using WMP11 for the past week and think its really good program. I'm hoping to to add all my mp3's to it over the next couple of months and want a really stable platform to host them all.

Unfortuntaley yesterday I closed down WMP11 only to be confronted with a corrupted database message. Basically all my albums in WMP11 disapeared, and when I restarted I had to search for all my mp3 again.

I've not got loads of mp3's on my computer at the moment, but they are bit fragmented and all over the place basically. I'm wondering if this could have been the problem. I was also using a torrent program at the time and the downloads are stored in a different folder than my main mp3's. The torrent data I was downloading was adding stuff to the WMP on the fly over period of a few hours, so I could listen to what I'd got. Could this had caused the corruption?

Whats the best way to store a lot of mp3 files? All in one folder with sub folders?

I don't really want to give up WMP11, as I've tried itunes recently and it didn't realy do anything for me, looked too bloaty.

Thanks.

I would recommend just keeping all the music files in one location and then importing them. It would probably would be your best bet. Making it less work for the software keeping tracks of all your music.
