Windows Media player 11

No point in getting another copy of XP when vista is coming soon, anyway IMO WMP11 is actually worse than WMP10 so i wouldn't even upgrade. I use winamp so either way i'm not fussed.

And if you take your time to read this thread:

You'll discover that in doing this, the license of your OEM version of windows has been rendered invalid.

You'll either need to purchase a new OEM copy, or a Retail version so you can upgrade your hardware to your heart's content.

While that might be the legal reasoning - whether MS would prosecute someone for changing a mobo for upgrade purposes (for instance) and also whether they would prosecute someone who HAS been activated is another matter..... its much like the old story with copying cd's in general

for home sole use of the purchaser its still illegal ( or it certainly was) to copy any cd / tape / vinyl recording you have bought - but whether anyone would actually prosecute is HIGHLY unlikely

there is a way to install wmp11 but i am not sure if i can quote it in the forums, if i am allowed then let me know if not then i won't
