Hi,

Just wondering, does anyone else find WMP 11 a pleasure to use? Compard to all the other WMP's, I say 11 is the best yet. So easy to use and does exacly what I want. Nice user star rating system for all my music as well, and just very good.

I have tried other players, just can never get used to them at all. :(

Ya, that's pretty cool as well. However some of my music isn't named properly, so that is a little messed. :(

WMP11 confuses me, how do i make it just play all my music on shuffle? i seem to only be able to play one album at a time without making a playlist.

i'll stick to itunes

Just go into your music folder, and press play all. Then just press the shuffle button at the bottom of the player. :D

Well, I haven't got a clue on how to use this program. Its far too confusing for me :p

Sorry I can't be of more help :(

No problem dude, will have another crack at it again tonight.

So how does it find out the names for your songs, if you don't know them?
As I have lots of songs I don't know the name or artist to?

If you're using ID3Tag-IT, Navigate to a folder containing an album in the Navigation Pane down the left hand side. Then in the main window, highlight all the tracks from said album, press F4, then click on 'Search by Files'. This will query the database for albums which have the same number of files, same length tracks and so on.

It'll return the results, most of the time it'll match the album, but sometimes it'll return more than one album from different artists. Select which album you want from the list, and then press the 'Write Information' button. This will write all the information to the tags.

From there, all you've gotta do is highlight all the tracks again, right click on any of them, go to 'Tag v2 Functions', and click on 'Tag v2 -> Filename'. This will then take the information out of the tag, and rename the filename with it. You can select how you want the filename to be titled too, i.e. Artist,Track Number, Title, etc.

Hope that's not too confusing. I'll take some screenshots if needed, but it's a great little app which will help sort out your MP3's in no time.

Okay, it writes the infomation...but filenames still stay the same..? :(

Hmmm, will check now.

So when it says saves changes, it should update them? As I can't figure out how to do the last part in your guide. :(

Edit: Just checked them, no, they're not read only.
