Windows Media Player Playing Everything Fast

Hi

Started windows media player today and it plays both songs at about double speed with no sound. The speed settings are all normal, and I have not messed with any settings. I have tried system restore and reinstall media player but doesnt seem to work. Any ideas?

Have you checked your codecs?

if u downloaded a codec pack, like k-lite codec pack maybe try uninstall/re-intall it.
i had a similair problem recently, but it was just video's playing too fast. Re-installing codecs was what seemed fixed it.
