windows media player settings help?

hi

i need some help on selecting the best settings for windows media player

i would like to know what settings are best for ripping a cd to my pc , such as sound quality (mp3 or wma) ?

also when burning a cd what settings also?

can anyone help here, i just want to be sure im using the best sound quality settings available?
