Windows Media Player won't play DVD's again

Windows Media Player (Windows 7 64-bit in sig) won't display the picture from DVD's anymore - the sound works but there is either no picture or it shows the first frame and stays stuck on that while the sound plays.

I re-installed graphics drivers, everything else seems to be working fine and it happens with every DVD so it's not the disc. I just downloaded a free Easy DVD player and it plays them fine (and actually has far better functionality than the WIndows one! might stick with it) but it would be nice if Media Player just worked.

I had a similar problem before a year ago but can't fix it this time, any ideas? It's really annoying.

You tried downloading the K-lite Codec pack? I always do after installing windows

I dont have a clue if it will work but, try it.

I just use VLC. Plays everything I throw at it.

Haven't heard of that, I will give it a go as media player has been very problematical for me.
