I have windows media center edition and until recently everything was fine. All of a sudden though media player won't stream any content from the web, be it music or video. If the link opens media player externally I get an error saying unable to play file type but if it opens an instance of media player embedded into a web page it just sits there saying ready. In all cases I can right click ' save target as' to download the file which then plays fine so its not a codec issue.
Anyone know what the problem is?

Edit, the error I get seems to indicate that media player isn't connected to the internet which the pc obviously is.
