I have just bought one of these tiny little intel NUC PCs... Its great fun, and I am absolutely loving having a play about.
Its made my Media PC travels go from the biggest most powerful thing that I can knock up with 12cores and SLI ( Yeah, in a Media PC - I know, I know ), into smoething thats not much bigger than a pack of fags!
Anyway, this one has an infra red window at teh front, and so naturally, I set about seeing if any of the remotes I have, can somehow be used, and blow me, bu the stock Windows Media Center remote works right off the bat and Windows MediaCenter comes up just fine.
After some more digging about, I dug out an old TV card that is for Laptops and I threw that in, instead of the WIFI and I got the bloody thing to work! - bit naff, but so what early days.
The thing is, that its the remote thaty I was thinking about more than anything...
With Microsoft no longer supporting WMC but these still having full support for the remote controls, what options do I have?
Is there any Media center software out there that will let me make full use of the remote as it is?
Linux or Windows I dont care.
