Hello!

I used to happily be able to stream music and pictures to my 360, from my PC using windows media connect...until I downloaded Windows Media Player 11 this morning!

Is there anyway I can tell WMP11 which folders I wish to share? I keep all my music and CD's on a seperate hard drive you see (saves a lot of headaches when reformatting etc) and on the previous version of windows media connect I was able to specify the exact folders the 360 could use.

I don't really wish to import my music library into WMP11 because I use iTunes (unless it's possible for both programs to happily share the same music library?)

Thanks in advance.

I'm hoping I can go back to WMP10. I never use the darn program anyway so to have it loaded up just to share files on the 360 is a pain in the rear.

I'll try uninstalled WMP11 later and report back.

i've managed to get mp11 working, you have to go into the sharing settings and allow the 360 then all is well, wmv files work well too!

I tried that..pointed to share my folders with the music in and xbox managed to show about 3 albums and some random playlists it created. Annoying.

God knows why microsoft didn't just allow you to copy music and videos from the pc to the 360 or use ftp, it makes it impossible to use it as a proper media centre and wastes electricity.
